Jayce’s Gold Badge — one of the highest honours in British children’s media — features proudly on the back cover, recognising his outstanding contribution to early literacy, diversity and inclusion in children’s storytelling. He joins recipients including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, JK Rowling, Sir David Attenborough and Marcus Rashford.

The Book

The UK’s first nationwide
child-led anthology

Our Stories, Our World is a joyful, powerful and landmark collection of stories and poems written entirely by children, for children. Created through the Books from Children to Children Summer Writing Competition — launched by seven-year-old Jayce Joyce BCyA — it brings together 20 young voices from primary schools across the UK.

Each piece in this anthology celebrates diversity, kindness, inclusion, and belonging. These young authors — aged just 6 to 10 — submitted their original stories and poems from communities across Britain, and 20 outstanding entries were professionally edited, illustrated, and published.

Led by Jayce Joyce BCyA — himself the world’s youngest author to publish a book series simultaneously, a Mensa member with an IQ of 150, and a BBC Blue Peter Gold Badge recipient — this anthology proves that you are never too young to inspire change, one story at a time.

Inside the Anthology

Stories that celebrate every child’s world

The anthology spans three powerful themes, woven together by children’s natural wisdom, imagination, and joy.

🌈
Diversity & Identity
Stories and poems that celebrate who we are — our cultures, our backgrounds, our skin, our languages. These pieces reflect the beautiful variety of Britain’s children and their families, ensuring every reader can see themselves on the page.
💚
Kindness & Belonging
Heartfelt narratives about friendship, empathy, and what it means to belong. These young authors write about helping others, standing up for what’s right, and building the kind of world they want to live in — with extraordinary emotional depth.
Imagination & Adventure
Wild adventures, fantastical worlds, and flights of pure imagination. From talking animals to magical classrooms, these stories remind us that children’s creativity knows no bounds — and that the greatest adventures begin with a pen and a dream.
The Contributors
